Call for MCSHRM Board Member Nominations!

    September 26, 2012

    Dear MC SHRM Members,

    I strongly encourage you to participate in the nomination of candidates to the 2013 MC SHRM Board of Directors.

    All active MC SHRM Professional Members in good standing may be nominated to serve on the Chapter’s Board of Directors. You have an opportunity to nominate candidates (self nomination is encouraged!) for any position on the Board for the upcoming year. The positions of President and Past President were determined as a result of last year’s election process. You are now being asked to nominate candidates for the remaining slate of candidates to serve on the 2013 MC SHRM Board of Directors.

    MC SHRM Board of Directors positions up for election consist of the following positions. The names of incumbents and volunteers  who have expressed interest in positions are indicated next to the position.


    President Elect (to be President in 2014)

    Secretary (& Certification Chair)



    Tammy Pinson, SPHR

    Director of Programs


    Director of Professional Development

    Lisa Boan, SPHR

    Director of Communications

    Kimberly Diebling, SPHR

    Director of Membership


    Director of Legislative Affairs

    Darla McClure, Esquire

    Director of Community Affairs

    Robin Marquart, PHR

    At Large Director (role includes PR & Marketing)


    Incumbents in the positions of President, President Elect and Past President serve for one-year terms (A 3-year obligation). Occupants of other Board positions are subject to annual election, but may serve for consecutive terms.

    The attached document will provide you with additional information about Board membership and the specific duties of individual positions. The At Large Director position will be assigned specific responsibility for public relations and marketing for the Chapter.

    Please submit your nominations by November 1, 2012.   If you self-nominate, please also send us a brief bio to include the following information:

    • Your name
    • Certification(s)
    • The position for which you are nominating yourself
    • Number of years in the human resources field
    • Your current job title and company
    • Previously held positions with other companies you have worked for
    • Any other boards you have served on, any community affiliations or other professional organizations
