    This session will provide a primer on the many regulations and Executive Orders issued over the last year that directly impact all companies working on federal contracts, including:

    • Fair Pay and Safe Workplaces - Proposed Rule (or Final Rule)
    • Paid Sick Leave - EO
    • $10.10 minimum wage - Final Rule
    • Pay Transparency - Final Rule
    • Gender Identity - Final Rule

    We will discuss both the HR an employment aspects of each of these rules, but also the required coordination between HR and the business capture and compliance functions these new rules and orders require going forward.

    This specialized knowledge is essential for many companies operating in Montgomery County, and is in addition to traditional federal employment and labor laws that are generally applicable to all companies.

    About the speaker

    Guest speaker Michael J. Schrier is Special Counsel at Duane Morris LLP with over 20 years of experience practicing in areas of government contracts, labor and employment, commercial litigation, construction and intellectual property. Mr. Schrier is a 1993 graduate of George Washington University School of Law and a graduate of Cornell University.
