    Stephen Stern is a partner with Hyatt & Weber, P.A.  Mr. Stern advises employers on strategic matters, such as trade secret protection programs, non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements, wage and hour practices, privacy issues, independent contractor arrangements, employee handbooks, and document retention practices. This session will help companies understand who is disabled, who is a qualified individual that is entitled to protection, when and what accommodations may need to be provided, and certain defenses to claims brought under the ADA.  Applicable statutory provisions and regulations will be reviewed and cases will be used to illustrate concepts.

     

    Communication for Increased Effectiveness & Achieving Team Goals

    DeeDee Smartt Lynch is a Senior Consultant with 3Circle Partners/Belbin North America.  She teaches the North America “Train the Trainer” Program - as a Belbin Team Roles. She will be presenting ways to increase communication and effectiveness within a team or group so that it achieves its objectives. Belbin Team Roles gives a framework and a common language from which to explore and increase understanding of collective strengths and how to use these to best effect.
