    Now that the Maryland legislative session has just ended, come join your fellow Human Resource professionals for a Legislative Update, led by Darla J. McClure, MC SHRM's Legislative Director and Principal, Stein, Sperling Bennett, and De Jong, P.C. – Attorneys at Law. 


    You will learn all about the new state laws relating to business and employment and how such laws impact your employer.  You will also receive answers to your many questions concerning last years’ laws that were enacted and how the courts and other governing bodies have interpreted those laws. This meeting has been approved for 1.5 HRCI-General recertification credits!

    Darla J. McClure - Biography

    Darla regularly counsels business clients on employment matters and resolution of employment disputes. Working closely with management, she helps ensure compliance with state and local laws, and assists in drafting employment policies, benefits and contracts, such as restrictive covenants and confidentiality agreements.

    Darla’s extensive experience also includes organization and entity selection, structuring business ventures, developing shareholder and operating agreements, resolution of business disputes, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures.

    A frequent speaker on topics involving business organization, disputes and employment matters, Darla has addressed various organizations throughout the region, including the Montgomery County Medical Society, where she sits on its Advisory Board. She also serves as the Legislative Affairs Director of the Montgomery County Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (MC SHRM), where she contributes to the organization's monthly newsletter and gives presentations on employment law topics.
