The soaring costs of medical care and increases in stress and lifestyle-related illnesses intensifies the focus on workplace wellness. But many company wellness programs aren’t as effective as they can be.  They aren’t comprehensive, long-term, and not aimed at the people who could benefit most.  Please join us at the first chapter meeting of 2012 to hear about Building a Better Wellness Program.
This program has been approved for 1.5 HRCI General recertification credit hours.
Our guest speaker is Stephenie Overman,  a free-lance writer, specializing in workplace and health care issues and author of Next Generation Wellness at Work.  Among the health care topics Stephenie covers are wellness, prescription drug costs, preparation for possible epidemics, short-term insurance, boutique medicineandconsumer-driven health plans.  She is a frequent contributor to and HR Magazine, past editor of Human Resource Management News(a biweekly newsletter for HR professionals) and is a former senior writer for HR Magazine and HR News.
    In this presentation, you will:
    • better understand steps to take to build a successful wellness program that improves employee productivity and reduces employer health costs
    • learn how to gain buy-in for wellness from both senior management and employees
    • learn ways to measure the success of your workplace wellness program
