    Companies of all sizes and across all industries are feeling the heat from an onslaught of wage and hour claims brought by state and federal governments and private plaintiffs.  These suits have the potential to impose astronomical financial liability on employers.  Now is the time for employers to be proactive in ensuring compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws before aggressive plaintiffs’ attorneys are consulted, or the government commences and investigation or audit.

    MCSHRM is excited to have Karen Maciel, Esq. and Evan Rosen, Esq. of Epstein Baker & Green P.C., update us on the latest Wage and Hour issues.

                                                              

    Ms. Maciel is a Member of the Firm in the Labor and Employment and Litigation practices.  She represents employers in labor and employment lawsuits arising under federal and state law, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and the Department of Labor’s EEO/AA regulations.  Ms. Maciel specializes on issues related to the hospitality and health care industries. 

    Mr. Rosen is an Associate in the Labor and Employment and Litigation practices. He has counseled unionized companies in labor relations, including representation in all phases of the grievance process.  His practice includes counseling employers in all aspects of the employment relationship and compliance with employment laws.
